Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility and accountability for mechanical design activities from concept design, prototyping till manufacturing;
- Design and development of product mechanical parts involve various material types such as plastic, metal and rubber as well as artwork and packaging designs;
- Ensure mechanical designs are meeting cost, quality and delivery requirements;
- Oversee tooling fabrication and improvement for plastic, metal and rubber parts;
- Keep adequate design change tracking records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
- Proficiency in SolidWorks;
- Experience in detailing parts using 3D CAD modelling tools and produces required 2D drawings in accordance with design standards such as ANSI. 14 and GD&T;
- Experience in plastic, metal and rubber part designs as well as artwork and packaging designs;
- Work independently with minimum supervision.
